 This unit covers physical geography and our fieldwork of plant succession at Portstewart Strand.

 This unit covers human geography and the general geographical skills.

Exam
The exam has three sections:
  • Section A has questions about our fieldwork with plant succession in Portstewart Strand.
  • Section B has a series of short to medium length questions (typically up to 6 marks) on Physical Geography, which inlude a mixture of data response questions and recall questions.
  • Section C requires you to write two essays from a choice of three (one on each of the Physical Geography topic). These will normally - but not always - be about case studies.

The exam is worth 90 marks and lasts for 90 minutes - so watch your timing - one minute per mark as a rough guide.

  • Section B has a series of short to medium length questions (typically up to 6 marks) on Human Geography, which inlude a mixture of data response questions and recall questions.
  • Section C requires you to write two essays from a choice of three (one on each of the Human Geography topic). These will normally - but not always - be about case studies.
